Shining Through the Storm, a local nonprofit founded in the wake of Hurricane Helene, is marking a major milestone with a familiar partner.

The charitable organization, led by Universe United Miss North Carolina Reanna Ruark, will celebrate its one-year anniversary with a Galentine’s-themed fundraiser at Kendra Scott’s Thruway Center location in Winston-Salem on Friday, February 7. The event runs from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., with 20 percent of sales benefiting the ongoing relief efforts in Western North Carolina.

The collaboration builds on a previous partnership between Ruark and the jewelry brand, which Scope News covered last year as Shining Through the Storm expanded its reach through in-store and online fundraising efforts.

Shoppers will have an opportunity to socialize, customize their jewelry in Kendra Scott’s Color Bar, and enjoy refreshments during the two-hour event. Those unable to attend can still participate online by using the code GIVEBACK-SHINING2026 at checkout between February 7 and 9.

Ruark said the partnership reflects a shared commitment to community giving, previously telling Scope News: “As a young girl, I admired this brand for its beauty. But now I admire it even more for its heart. Never did I imagine I’d one day be collaborating with a company that gives back to its community the same way I strive to through Shining Through the Storm.

The Kendra Scott store is located at 304 South Stratford Road. More information is available here.
