The Shepherd’s Center, located at 636 Gralin Street, will again offer free tax preparation services beginning Wednesday as part of the AARP Foundation Tax-Aide program.

A new romantic comedy by playwright Scott Icenhower, running Feb. 6-22 at Stained Glass Playhouse in Winston-Salem.
Trained volunteers will be available for in-person, face-to-face consultations by appointment only with no walk-ins accepted. The service is free and provided in cooperation with the IRS, assisting taxpayers with federal and state returns including many common forms.
Packets are available in the Shepherd’s Center lobby on weekdays from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and appointments can be scheduled at the same time.
The site will operate Wednesdays through Saturdays from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon. To schedule an appointment, call 336-992-3180. Click here for additional information.
Taxpayers should bring photo ID and Social Security cards for everyone on the return, along with income and expense documents, prior-year tax returns, and any relevant correspondence.
