A new romantic comedy by playwright Scott Icenhower, running now through Feb. 22 at Stained Glass Playhouse in Winston-Salem.
The family-friendly fantasy follows a bored boy named Milo, whose typical afternoon takes a turn for the extraordinary when he travels through imaginative kingdoms Dictionopolis and Digitopolis.
Packed with clever wordplay and colorful characters, the production aims to entertain audiences while reinforcing the joy of reading.
Through community donations and grants, Bring a Book to Life helps cover the cost for Kernersville Elementary School students to attend the production and each participating child receives a copy of the featured book.
“For many of these children, this is the only live stage play they ever see,” KLT noted, emphasizing the program’s impact on young audiences and reluctant readers in particular.
Performances at James Fitzpatrick Auditorium, adjacent to KES at 512 West Mountain Street, begin February 27. The two-week run includes Friday and Saturday shows at 7:30 and Sunday matinees at 2:00 p.m.Click here for more information about the show and click here to help expand the program’s reach with a donation.
