A local collectibles event is returning to Kernersville this weekend as Gate City Geeks plans to host its second K-Vegas Card Show.
Everything you need to know about this year’s festival is at the link below.
The spring installment, organized by co-owners Jenn Welch and Brad Iddings, is scheduled for Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at 745 Cinema Court. Admission is $5.
After the debut show exceeded expectations, Welch told Scope News that interest in the follow-up has continued to build, both from vendors and collectors.
“The first one was blown out of the water more than we expected,” she said. “We hoped for the best, but we got way more than that.”
She said the momentum has carried into the second show, which has sold out of vendor space.
“We’re still getting requests for tables,” Welch said. “The response has been amazing, and we expect the turnout from the community to be even bigger this time.”
The show will feature a range of collectible cards, including sports, Pokemon, games, memorabilia, and more. Attendees will have an opportunity to buy, sell, and trade items with vendors traveling from across the region.
With demand continuing to grow, Gate City Geeks, located at 251 North Main Street, is already planning ahead. A larger show is scheduled for May, with more than 200 vendor tables expected.
