Local Artisans To Participate In ‘Crafting For A Cause’ Event

The first of two upcoming artisan markets benefiting area charities is scheduled to take place at Harmon Park this weekend.

Terri Moy, the president of Favored Conferences & Events, spoke to Scope News about the motivation behind the artisan market on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and a similar event set for October 12.

More than 30 craft vendors and several food trucks have signed up to participate in this week’s market, which aims to provide a spotlight for local entrepreneurs and artisans, variety for shoppers, and support for a Kernersville-based nonprofit organization.

“With each market that is hosted by the Favored Team, we connect with a local nonprofit who receives a portion of the vendor fees that we receive,” Moy said. “For the August 10 and October 12 markets, we will be showcasing Project:Re3. Project:Re3 is a 501c3 nonprofit made up of three distinct ministries: Re3 Church, Re3 Hope Center, and Re3 Missions. They help lives daily through all of their ministries, so we are honored to support them.”

Favored Conferences & Events also hosts the annual Fizz & Beats Zero Proof Fest, which will take place at Paul J. Ciener Botanical Gardens, 215 South Main Street, on September 28.

“The Favored team knows how hard it is to build a business, to provide for your family, and do what you love and enjoy,” Moy added. “We want to provide this space for businesses. Our team believes very strongly in community, connections, and care. It is in our values to bless others and bridge connections. These markets are one way in which our team can expand the Favored family and build networks for local businesses to support each other and local nonprofits. This market allows us to showcase others and their talents and give the community a fun atmosphere to find those gifts to treat themselves or friends.”
