The final installment of Kernersville’s free Movies in the Park series is set for Friday.

Presented by the Law Office of Jeffrey F. Hutchins PLLC, this month’s feature is ‘Minions & Monsters,’ which takes the popular animated franchise to 1920s Hollywood as the yellow mischief-makers encounter frightening creatures and set out to save the planet.

The event begins at 6:30 p.m. at Harmon Park, 152 S. Main St., with games, vendors, and food available before the movie. Goodie bags will be distributed to the first 100 guests and the film is scheduled to begin at dusk, around 8 p.m.

‘Minions & Monsters’ is rated PG and has a runtime of approximately 90 minutes.

Food will be available from The Daily Bowl, Hot Dog Hideaway, Smokin’ BBQ Chateau, La Monona, and Kona Ice. 

Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets for the outdoor screening. For safety, the playground will close at dusk and children must be supervised by a parent or guardian at that time. 

Movies in the Park also includes contributions from Senior Options for America, Moses Cone MedCenter Kernersville, Civic Credit Union, and the Winston-Salem Dash.
