Kernersville police are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a tractor-trailer involved in a hit-and-run crash earlier this month that resulted in injuries to the driver of the other vehicle.

According to a statement, officers arrived to the crash in the eastbound lanes near Exit 225 on Salem Parkway early on the morning of Oct. 12.

Investigators determined that a white tractor-trailer traveling from I-74 onto U.S. 421 struck a vehicle and fled the scene. The crash reportedly caused significant damage to the passenger vehicle and injured its driver.

Although the crash was captured by another vehicle’s dash camera, investigators said they have been unable to identify the truck or its driver.
