Greensboro Groove Partners With Local Business For ‘Community Night’

One Kernersville-based small business is teaming up with the Greensboro Groove, the recently established Upshot League professional women’s basketball team.

Sunshine Creations Co. will host a “Community Night” on May 15 in hopes of boosting attendance while supporting owner April Scott’s longer-term plans for the business.

The Amanzi Marble and Granite Spring Folly, brought to you by the Kernersville Chamber of Commerce, is almost here.

Along with all your favorite festival traditions, this year’s event will feature the NEW Kids Workshops on Heritage Square, including LEGO challenges and hands-on building projects with Keith Smith Construction and Lowe’s.

She told Scope News the goal is to sell 1,000 tickets for the game, with a portion of the proceeds going toward the development of a “creative wellness studio” designed to support gatherings for classes, workshops, vendor pop-ups, and other events.

“This is about more than a game,” Scott said. “It is about creating a space where people feel seen, supported, and inspired. We want to bring the community together in a way that makes a lasting impact for families and small businesses.”

In addition to individual ticket sales, event organizers are also offering sponsorship opportunities. Those contributions would be used to purchase tickets for families who might not otherwise be able to attend.

Tickets are listed at $15 and are distributed through Sunshine Creation’s website. Click here for more information.
