An unofficial local sign of summer returns Friday as Kernersville’s popular outdoor film series returns to Harmon Park, 152 South Main Street, for its first showing of 2026.

Parks and Recreation will kick off this year’s Movies in the Park lineup with a screening of Elio, a family-friendly feature presented by The Law Offices of Jeffrey F. Hutchins PLLC.

Festivities begin at 6:30 p.m., giving attendees time to enjoy some food, fun, and atmosphere before the movie starts at dusk.

Guests are encouraged to bring blankets or lawn chairs. Free goodie bags will be distributed to the first 100 attendees.
