One week after a major water line break caused widespread outages in the area, another rupture has prompted a road closure along a section of West Mountain Street.

According to Kernersville Fire Rescue, the impacted area is in the 200 block, with Mountain closed to traffic between Dobson and Hepler streets as crews work to make repairs.

Utilities officials have been alerted to the issue, but there was no estimated timeline for the repairs as of the initial statement. No water outages had been reported.

Drivers are encouraged to avoid the area, choose alternate routes if possible, and proceed with caution near the area. Check back for updates as more information becomes available.
