Locals are invited to explore downtown in a whole new way next weekend with a free, family-friendly event hosted by the Kiwanis Club of Kernersville.
A scavenger hunt on Oct. 10 will begin at the Kernersville Museum, 109 S. Cherry St., and run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Participants can follow a series of clues, exploring local landmarks and learning more about our community’s history along the way.
Harmon Park will serve as the event’s home base, where families can bring their own lunch with drinks provided by the club.
A visit to the adjacent museum is included at no cost.
Organizers say they are opening the club’s quarterly “Friends and Family” gathering to the public as an opportunity to engage with those interested in learning more about Kernersville and Kiwanis.
