Extravadance & Tumble will host its ninth annual Dance-A-Thon on Saturday to raise money for Dancers Against Cancer, a nonprofit that provides financial assistance to members of the dance community affected by the disease.
The event will run from 5 to 9 p.m. at the studio, located at 1239 Masten Dr., and will feature dancing, games, vendors, raffles, food, entertainment, and other activities.
Admission is $10 for children and adults can attend for free. The event is open to the public and all proceeds will benefit the organization, which helps offset medical expenses, living costs, and other necessities.
The local annual fundraiser has already generated more than $100,000 for the nonprofit, according to Erica Summerlin, the studio’s artistic director. Last year’s Dance-A-Thon raised more than $36,000.
