Downtown Studio Hosts Free Business Networking Event

A local creative space is opening its doors this week for an event designed to bring artists, business owners, and local leaders into the same room to spark new collaborations across the Triad.

The Open Studio is hosting a Mural Artist Meet-Up and Public Art Networking Event, described as a multi-part gathering that begins on Thursday at 1 p.m. with a casual lunch, followed by programming and speaker sessions beginning at 2 p.m.

Representatives from regional arts organizations will be on hand to share insight on public art opportunities, funding, and how artists can navigate grants and large-scale projects.

Ticket sales for that portion of the event have ended, but the final hour will expand the focus to the broader community with a free event aimed at creating a direct line between artists and the people who commission and support local art.

The “networking happy hour” begins at 4 p.m.

In addition to support from Korner’s Folly, the event is hosted in collaboration with several regional partners, including The Arts Council of Winston-Salem & Forsyth County, The Arts Council of Greater Greensboro, the Public Art Commission of Winston-Salem & Forsyth County, and Zibra Painting.

The Open Studio is located at 210 N. Main St. #106. Click here for more information.
